ILSFA covers the cost of solar installation for income-eligible Illinois homeowners. You pay nothing out of pocket — the program covers installation, and you benefit from reduced energy bills through net metering.

A licensed ILSFA-registered installer inspects your roof at no cost and confirms system design.

Step 5 — Installation & Activation

System design, permitting, and installation scheduled — typically within 2-4 weeks. Net metering enrollment included.
